Birds
This series is a return to a lifelong fascination—birds observed, imagined, and quickly captured in paint. These studies are simple in form but rooted in close observation, allowing me to explore gesture, color, and movement with immediacy and clarity. Birds have long been a personal and symbolic presence in my work, and these quick brushstroke portraits let me engage directly with their personality, posture, and spirit. While these paintings stand on their own, they also serve as a visual vocabulary I draw upon in my broader practice—appearing in dreamscapes, emotional landscapes, and layered narratives throughout my other series.
